      Hello, New here

I just found this place while doing a google search for lucid dreams. I have been having these for years, since I was a kid, but I never knew what they were called till recently when a friend told me that it was called lucid dreaming. I look forward to learning more about it from the rest of you. I would sorta decribe it more as lucid nightmares more then lucid dreaming. But I can say is that I do become aware from time to time that I am in a dream. Anyways thanks for the site and I look forward to learning more.

I am guessing because it is when he is in a nightmare and he knows he is dreaming. Welcome to Dreamviews.

Well, I guess because most of the time its a pretty bad nightmare I am having when it happens. Now its not always a nightmare, but most of the time it is. My buddy at work told me I should try and control them , but I haven't yet figured out how to do that.

Ah I see! Well, can you describe a typical nightmare? If, for example, it's a frightening monster/ghost/etc chasing you, then just take a deep breath, march right over to it, and GIVE IT A HUG!! See what happens!

Well the most recent example has been this recurring nightmare where I am in a world that is in fested with Zombie like creatures. I am in the upstairs hallway of the house I grew up in as a child and the Zombie things are down at the bottom of the stairs. I can hear them moving around and making those sounds that they make, and I can sorta make out shapes moving in the dark, but I cant clearing see them. There are others with me whom I know in my dream as people I have com across and we have joined up in a group for safety. At some point I realize that the creatures are also in the attic and that we are now completely trapped. That is when it happened, all of a sudden I become aware of the fact that I am in a dream, I even start to talk to my self out loud in my dream. The others that are with me never show any sign that they are aware that I am now talking to myself in my dream. This Zombie dream has be reoccurring for about a year and a half now, not every night and never in the same place.

In your next one, go and purposefully seek out the zombies. Smile at them as big as you can and give them all hugs. You can give them gifts of flowers or something in addition. Seriously - try this out!!
