Hi and welcome to Dream Views.
If you haven't, you should check out the Tutorials section of the site. There is a lesson in there that explains how to get to SP, found HERE.
Getting to the SP stage takes a bit of patience and practice. Just keep at it and you should expect the unexpected. Not everyone experiences SP and the sensations associated with it, the same way.

Welcome, lost_e...:)
That's great that you are interested in lucid dreaming. I hope you enjoy this site and can learn a lot from it.
If you haven't yet, check out the Quick Start Guide at the top of this Newbie Forum. It has good info on the site and lucid dreaming.

Also, I have had lots of lucid dreams and have never been aware of the Sleep Paralysis stage. I have the best luck doing a Wake Back to Bed, where I wake up after about 5 hours of sleep, then go back to bed about an hour lateer. I ususally just let myself drift back to sleep while thinking about what I am going to do once I become lucid. And since it is so much on my mind, something in my dreams will trigger lucidity.
Good luck...and let us know how it goes.
