Just Though I'd May As Well Ask Some Questions

Well hello there everyone, I have only been trying WILD for roughly 5 nights now and have only had minor effects.

First attempt: I felt myself sinking and all I could think was "whoa, something is happening!" then I saw a bright white light, only to be disappointed by the fact that it was just a car outside.

Second attempt: Had quite a lot of rapid eye movement, otherwise nothing.

Third attempt: I had the 'old hag' disorder in the back of my mind and it threw me off for that night.

Fourth attempt: I felt pressure against my forehead and could have sworn something touched my face.

Fifth attempt: I heard maniacal laughing, that threw me off for the rest of the night.

Oh the method I am using is to lay still and ignore all of my body's signals to move, I also continually deny reality and embrace that I am in a dream. If I wanted to be anyone it would be Altaïr from the Assassin's Creed game, just jumping around and what not...(I know, nerdy as hell right?)

      My questions:
      1. Is it okay to listen to calming music while attempting WILD (through headphones)?

      2. I normally have a ceiling fan on that makes a recurring noise, can this disrupt the process?

      3. I prefer breathing through my nose instead of getting a dry mouth, but my nose is sometimes blocked and I have to breathe in very deep and it can also be kind of noisy, can this disrupt the process?

      4. What are some things I can do to improve my chances of achieving lucidity?

      5. Something I've always been confused about with WILD is that...do you actually slip into a lucid dream, or just lie there and hallucinate.

      6. What are some good ways to test that you're not longer in reality?

      7. If you unfortunately have to encounter the old hag, what's the best way to escape from it?

And I guess that'll do for now =D.
