Hello OnceADreamer. I'm fairly new here myself but am an experienced LD and OBE'er. What you describe is almost an OBE - I heard one of my favourite radio presenters in the UK describing how he had a similar experience years ago when he was at the dentist. He had received his treatment, got up from the dental chair and was walking towards the door when he was suddenly aware that he was somehow "floating" up in a corner of the ceiling and looking down, watching proceedings. He described watching himself walking, and speaking to the dentist, and at the same time feeling anxious that he might not be able to rejoin his physical body, at which instant, he must have returned because he "awoke" on the floor of the surgery, being helped to stand up. |

Hey there, welcome to Dream Views. |

Wow, *cheyenne* that is scary! I don't drive but if I did, I would def be very terrified. Well this was the first time I felt like I wasn't in my body but if it became frequent, it would def worry me MUCH more than it does right now. I was freaked out about it but I guess the thought of it being a dizzy spell calms me a little. So is it possible to have OBE's even while awake? I KNOW I was awake and that it wasn't a false awakening even though some may not believe that I was indeed awake. |
