      Dream Recall

I have never had a problem with the lucidity part, I have always known I have been dreaming, just never acted upon it. For example i always let my self be killed to end a nightmare, but i can only seem to remember them every now and then, does anyone have any unique suggestions besides the keep on saying to your self way??

Do you keep a dream journal? Regularly recording anything you remember about your dreams can really help increase your recall. Also, no drugs or alcohol before bed as these will make your recall worse.

      Welcome to the forum, btw

      Welcome to the forum!

Well if you've had enough of the MILD technique, then you could try something like a WILD, but that's quite hard, not really recommended unless you want to put effort in.

There's also the FILD which i quite simple to do and even the VILD which is an okish one as well.

Just make sure you do a WBTB by waking up after about 5 hours sleep!

The Tutorials Section should help you out!

Dream journals help with recall. Since you're good at becoming lucid, try doing something worth remembering. Learn to fly.

Bookreader, what really messes up my recall is being jarred awake by an alarm or some other sound and/or if I immediately change position or start thinking about my day once I wake up. Try telling your subconscioius to wake you up after each dream or to wake you up about 15 minutes before your alarm goes off (I know it sounds stupid but you'd be surprised how accomodating your subconscious can be).

Once you wake up.. do not move! Think about the dream that you just had.. If nothing comes to mind.. try to remember if there was a specific person, place, thing, food or emotion in the dream. Once you come up with even a tidbit of the dream.. try to work your way backward.. how did you get there.. who was with you, etc.

Hope this helps and welcome to Dream Views!
