REM Question
Hi guys, I have a question regarding waking up during rem cycles in order to remember my dreams.
Well first of all, I have yet to lucid dream. I've told my self I'm not going to attempt to lucid dream until my dream recall is extremely good. Anyway, I've been working on developing my dream recall for a few months now. Most of the time I'm able to remember about a dream a night. Now, I'm planning on taking it to the next level and I'm going to wake up after each of my rem cycles and write down my dreams, like this site says. After studying the stages of sleep chart, I'm just confused on when I'm actually supposed to wake up! This is my normal sleep cycle: I go to bed around 9 PM and wake up around 4 AM. At what hours do I put my alarms on to remember my dreams properly?
Thanks!!!

I seem to remember that everyone's cycles are different. You might just have to try some different times for waking up until you find the ones that work for you.
There may be a more reliable way that I'm not familiar with, in that case I'm sure somebody will let us know. :)

If you want an extreme good dream recall you should keep a "drea journal"
when i was new to lucid dreaming i almost never recalled any of my dreams. i keep having my dream journal now, and it's quite fun to when reading the dreams and how strange they could be.
today when i woke up i thought that i just recalled a dream. when i looked back at the mobile where i kept my Dream Journal last night i found that i got 5 dreams written down.
when i read the things i start to remember details in the dream and by doing that you can find dream signs. next time you see anything like things that happend in you dream you do a Reality Check to see if you're awake.
Good Luck.
