      A few more questions

This night I remembered 3 dreams (but not very good details, my sister's cat came in and ruined it)! New record.

One of the dreams was weird, I dreamed about falling asleep and having a lucid dream. I remember that I tried to have better dream control, and making it look better and such but I didn't really manage to do it, and after that I can't remember anything of that dream (because of my sister's cat I think). But I can remember when I woke up in the dream...
Do dreams like that count as lucid dreams? If they do, that would be my second lucid dream.

And I also have a problem: I just can't remember to do reality checks! Yesterday I only did 2. Can someone help me out? Any tips?

In that dream, did you ever really stop and think "Hey, I'm dreaming." or did you just go with the flow? Basically, how aware were you? If you were aware you were dreaming, then yes, it's a lucid. If not, then no. It's hard to tell with dreams like these, I think it all comes down to how you feel about it.

Try writing down on your hand, RC, or something. Set a watch to ring every hour. Maybe put a bandaid or tape on your hand, something odd, that you'll keep looking at and thinking about throughout the day. Try to associate the odd thing with dreaming, and reality checks.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

I've had a few similar dreams - I personally don't count them as lucid dreams, because I'm not fully aware that I'm dreaming (I'm aware, but not enough to stop and go "hey" or practice any dream control) I just dream the dream.

Initially I had the same problem. It takes a while to get into it (for me it was a week or two I think till it became automatic). If you work at a PC a lot, make your screensaver say "RC" or something, set an alarm, write it on your hand, set your mobile background to remind you to RC.

Make a point of RCing regularly, like everytime you walk through a door. In the beginning you'll forget quite often, but the more you remind yourself the more you'll remember, soon it will become second nature.

In the dream, I kind of thought "Wow this is a dream" while going with the flow... Guess I can't really count it as a true lucid dream.

And actually, the Reality checking was automatic for me until winter vacation came and ruined it all... Now I have to start all over again.

Anyway, thanks for the tips, I'll try them if this keeps happening.

Take a magic marker and put the letters RC on the under side of your wrist, do a reality check every time that you see that.
