a little guidence?
So far I still haven't had any LD's, but I have come quite a long way in terms of dream recall. I recall at least 3 or 4 dreams a night now. I used to set an alarm clock to go off about every 90min throughout the night, but now I seem to wake up after every dream :) Although I have not yet had an LD, I am really enjoying the new experience of being able to remember this alternate reality every night.
Tonight was the about the closest I've come to having an LD but it was a slightly scary dream. The dream seemed very long and EXTREMELY detailed and Vivid. Throughout the dream, I kept noting strange things, but never actually clued in to it being a dream (beating myself up of course now. lol). But towards the end of the dream it started to get a bit spooky at which point I began telling myself "this can't be real", over and over until I finally woke up. Now why the heck I couldn't have told myself "this isn't real" and became Lucid instead, which would have been way cooler, is beyond me. lol
The dream did however give me the clearest answer to a life problem which has been plaguing me on and off for about a year now (which is an indescribable feeling). It was as if my subconscious was clearly speaking to me.
I usually have really fun, exciting and interesting dreams filled discovery, but never spooky at all. I'm hoping that the more and more vivid my dreams become the weirder they become. help?

Hey there,
IMO, i don't think there is much you can do to change the content of your non-lucid dreams, as it's basically a materialisation of your real life....but you can definately expect increase in Vividness.
However....by improving recall you may simply remember more of your dream. You may have a better time remember weirder dreams though, and less chance of missing them.
--> as for not getting Lucid....a dream journal is essential but if you want to greatly increase your chances you should research "dream-induced-lucid-dreams" (DILD) and "reality checks".....the main page of www.dreamviews.com may help you.
if I havent answered anything, or you need more help...just ask!

Sounds like you are right on the verge of attaining lucidity.
Herein lies the importance of doing RC's until they become a habit. You want to do one during a dream and that will only happen if you are constantly doing them without thinking about it (habit)
Recognising dreamsigns is another way of becoming lucid in a dream and that is starting to happen for you.
Only advise I can give is, keep up the RC's and journal. Relax, dont push it and it will happen.
Best wishes.
