Hello! My name is Lauren, and I'm 18 years old. I found this site about a month ago, but I haven't actually put in any effort to try to work on having LDs until about a week ago. I've been simply trying to work on dream recall by using a dream journal, which has already improved my recall quite a bit. I've been trying to do RCs, but I keep forgetting to... ^_^; But don't worry, I'll be getting a watch one of these days.
I'm really excited about this, especially since I just had an LD moment last night. I was dreaming that my family and I were lost/stranded in this jungle. I decide to try to go hunting for food. I find a leopard, and kill it with some stick type thing. However, before I bring it to the family, the mother starts coming my way. I decide to leave the baby leopard so that the mother wouldn't follow it's scent, hence following me. I quickly try to walk away, but it sees it's baby, and because I was too recently there, it trails me down. It chases me for a while, and I get tired, and I finally decide to give up. I think to myself, I know it'll be unpleasant, but I guess I'll just let it get me, get it over with, and then I'll wake up. And then I suddenly think, wait, this is a dream... That means I can fly! So I do a Matrix-type move like Neo does and fly straight up over the first layer of canopy with the mommy leopard trying to find me. However, as I'm hovering in mid-air, I notice that I don't really feel like I'm flying (like feeling the wind as I'm moving, etc), and my environment started getting hazy, and the next thing I know (I think I might have woken up or something), I'm back on the ground telling my mom about my lucid moment.
So I know that this question probably comes up a bit, but what are some other good ways to having good dream recall besides a dream diary? Not that it isn't working or anything; I've just started working on LDing, and I have already noticed improvements. I just want to be able to make the process as effiecient as possible.
Thanks for reading this whole post! It was a little longer than I was anticipating it to be... ^_^; Anywho, happy LDing!
