      Really? I didn't know that WILDing actually induced REM. I thought it was just staying conscious.

      WILDing itself does not induce REM. What happens is that you can induce it when WILDing. Any more developed visual activity and you'll enter REM sleep. It takes a nice bunch of practice, though.
