      Does this count?

I don't know if you'd call this lucid. I had a dream I was watching "The Shield" (a cop show) and there was a dream sequence on the show. As I watched the dream sequence I thought, this looks too much like real life, TV never gets dream scenes right (which is an opinion I actually hold). Well the main character, Vic Mackey, realized he was dreaming and decided to lay down so he could wake up. I thought this was strange because I didn't realize I was dreaming, but a character in my dream thought he was having a dream. And I thought it was weird that my dream version of a TV show's dream sequence didn't look like a dream to me.

I hope this made some sense and wasn't too convoluted. Has anyone else had a dream character tell you that you were dreaming and you didn't believe him (or her)?

I wouldn't say that counts as being lucid but it is interesting

it wasn't technically a lucid dream but it sounds cool. Dreams are interesting wether or not you realize you're dreaming(like being awake I guess) but anyways, its a a good sign that you're close.

Sorry, it's not technically a lucid dream.
You're not alone with completely stupid missed oppurtunities. I've had lots of DCs tell me I'm dreaming, and I tell them they're crazy. I've even explained lucid dreaming to my friends in dreams. I say "Well, you do an RC in the dream to check if it's a dream, and then you get lucid. Of course it's stupid to RC now, this is real life".

      I've also posted on Dreamviews

Anyway, to Dreamviews! It sounds like you're very, very close. You should get a LD soon

I don't think I've ever had a dream character actually tell me I was having a dream. That's amazing that you can dream you're talking about LD techniques.

      Amazingly stupid
How could I miss such an obvious sign that I am dreaming? I can understand missing other dreamsigns, like text RCs and stuff, but LD techniques?
