Help Staying in Dream (not staying asleep)

Hey, my name is James and im 18. I live in Canada. Ive just began lucid dreaming (ive been doing it for years but just found out it can be controlled)... and last night I had 5 dreams that I remember, 3 of which were lucid. Lucid Dreaming is easier than I thought... all I really did was go to sleep as i usually do but as I am lying in my bed I think to myself "I am going to have a lucid dream", and then when I think I am in dream I perform the nose-plug-and-breathe Dream Test (which sometimes is weird because even if Im in dream and I plug my nose and breathe sometimes i cant?!?)... anyways...

The dream that I am asking about involved me (starting in my house)... as I walked down the hall I realized I was dreaming, and so I thought of meeting Lindsay Lohan (just socially not sexually), so I opened my door to my rec room (TV room/360 room etc) and there she was, sitting there on the couch. I Actually noted that she did not look exactly like she did in real life, which I found kind of paradoxical/ironic. Anyways, as soon as I sat down with her I'd say I got about 15 seconds in (didnt even utter a word) and I noticed fading. I thought to myself "oh shit time to start spinning" so I started spinning and was able to remain asleep and lucid, and was able to levitate/fly (not sure which) through a hole that appears in my ceiling/roof whenever I spin in lucid dreams (all my surroundings go black first)... I was then transported to some european apartment building (wtf?) where I had little control at all. Shortly thereafter I woke up.

I am not asking how to remain alseep, as I already have that part down, but I am asking what is the best way to remain lucid and remain in the same dream without it fading out... Thanks

anthrax, You might try touching things (I mean really "feeling" them) to stabilize your dream. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc.. this often helps me remain in a dream longer.

Oh and welcome to Dream Views!

Hey there, welcome to the forum!

As Clairity said, touch can help quite a lot. On top of that, keeping a level, logical thought process is handy too, try just taking time to assess your situation every now and then.
