      First WBTB

I failed my first WBTB attempt. My dogs woke me up around 3 hours after I
went to sleep, so I figured I'd try a WBTB. I got back in bed after 30 minutes
of walking around, and then I didn't move for two hours. But I didn't sleep.
After that I sort of had a "fuck it" attitude. So, I have a final today,
and I'm working on 3 hours of sleep.

I did try a FILD, though. It really did nothing more except make my
      wrists hurt.

So, now that I only slept 3 hours, my REM time will be longer tonight,
right? I'm hoping that's the way it is. After last night I'm so over it
that it's not even funny. I can't even recall any dream from last night,
so I have nothing to put in my dream journal.
As I was going up the stair / I met a man who wasn't there. / He wasn't there again today / I wish, I wish he'd go away

Hey shadownet, well done for trying, you did well to try, we don't always succeed at first, but at least you tried, if you continue to try new things you may eventually find something that works well for you, if you can keep experimenting you will eventually find what works best for you and then you can use it to help you achieve more lucid dreams

I hope your future attempts go well and that you find what works for you If you have any questions about it don't hesitate to ask!

I'm thinking next time I'll use Adam's technique.
I'm really hoping for a positive attitude, but after not moving for
two hours and praying that I can fall back to sleep, I feel like I
just wasted the whole night that I could have spent dreaming,
so I could have wrote in my dream journal.

It can feel asthough it was a waste of time but it wasn't, it is helping you find out what you are good at and what you are not good at so that you divert your main focus onto what your good at. Adams technique is great, definately try it out Best of luck to you!
