No worries. I talk about Lucids to my family and they look at me like I'm coo coo. I think it seems like a natural reaction. People just dismiss dreams as random firings from the brain. |

Hi. Some of my life experiences starting a few years ago have left me wanting to know more about dreams. I find myself at certain times able to be totally in control of of myself in my dream. Other times it is as if i am controlling my actions from an arbitrary position (sort of like a fps video game). And then there are the dreams where i know im dreaming and i am just watching things play out. I have a sort of memory for previous dreams while i am dreaming. It is as if i am in some sort of sequel. My dreams are 99% of the time awesome experiences. I am a very creative person so i don't know if it has anything to do with it. Meh too much for people to read so i will stop. I guess im just looking to talk about it because i feel strange talking about dreams to the people around me. |

I am not really sure what a lucid dream is. |
|
A lucid dream is a dream where you know that you are dreaming. |

Ok read some stuff...LD is lucid dream which is controlling your actions in dreams. Well, If that is the case then pretty much every dream that i remember I am in control and do what i want. My personal favorite is when i can just sort of fly around. Not really fly but like jump rediculously far and always being able to get a foot on something to push off for the next jump. |

LD is an acronym for lucid dream, yes. In a lucid dream you may (in msot cases) have control over your actions, but in order for it to qualify as one you must know that you're dreaming. |

meh i cant remember the last dream where i didn't realize pretty much from the get go that i am actually in my bed sleeping right now making all of this up. One thing that kind of irritates me though....well not really irritate but bugs me...is that knowing that everything there is in my head...why can i not like make a tree grow out of a lake or something like that. Are there limits as to what a person can do or is simply a lack of experience. |

You can do pretty much anything in a lucid dream, but unfortunately for some it takes a while to get more familiar with lucid dreams and gain the desired control, you will get there eventually, for some it just takes a bit of work. |
