      Question about RC

I'm supposed to do RC when I'm awake so they will follow me in my sleep, right? Well a common dream sign of mine is people from my old town, so would looking through my yearbook and doing a bunch of RCs work?

Reality checks are meant to be done regularly. Not at any given time and in a large amount but just periodically throughout the day, every day. That way, they will become a habit and follow through into a dream.

So, if a common dream sign for you is people from your old town, then when you do come across them, by seeing their photos, hearing them and so on, then you should most definitely reality check. Aside from that though, it's a good idea to get reality checking into a regular habit. Not too annoying, that will only backfire, but periodically throughout the day, whenever it comes to mind.

I usually do a reality check when I mistake someone for another person I shouldn't see at that place.

A good technique is to choose a few activities during the day to do reality checks during. Like every time you use the bathroom or open a door or turn on the TV, etc. You don't have to dream about these activities for this method to work.. the idea is that you get practice in remembering to do them during the day, and that should translate to dreams. After getting good at this, you can try saying something like, "I will remember to RC in my dream" before bed.
