Thread: Relaxation

I attemted a WILD last night following Seeker's tutorial but i could not get my self to relax. I was so excited that i couldent focus.

What do you do to relax?

Well you could just lie there and concetrate on your breathing and maybe visualise yourself in a nice calm area.

Or play some calming music. It's really up to, just do what ever it is that relaxes you.

Chances are the reason you couldn't relax was because of the excitement, once that goes, you'll be fine.

Ever tried meditation? There are a few books out there, ideas, etc.

Just techniques to really clear the mind and let your thoughts flow about but not focusing on them.

When visualizing, don't expect to see a lot right away. Just think about how it would look, what colors it should be. And that's it. Count your breaths.

Also, the deeper you get into it when you WILD, try not to itch. Even if it's really bad. You're body is testing to see if you're really asleep!!!

I have gone through SP many times now, and right into a regular dream. I lose focus during the next phase of my WILDs. Count your breaths, visualize slightly, like a door or a simple object, and try your best to clear your mind entirely. The more you try the better you will get at it.
