      Dream Recalling

I remember dreams I had months and years ago...Does every dream you remember last forever. Some dreams I wake up remembering but throughout the day slowly forget. All the dreams I remember ( 4 exactly ) I remember not being lucid-most recently last night. When the dream started (when I started to remember ) I was standing in a doorway looking into a grassy yard. Not one I am familiar with. I was standing there thinking Woah, everything feels so real, I cant be dreaming I can feel myself. No dream is this real. When suddenly a really fine girls Runs by, I start chasing her. Things started getting foggy and I was saying to myself, don't wake up, dont wake up. I cant remember if I woke up or not. There was a period of time where there was nothing ( what felt like half a second ) and I started in a different dream. different place, but same girl. THAT dream ended after a very long while and another half second space. In Another different house but that same damn girl...that dream was quite short. But only the first dream that night ( the one where I saw that girl for the first time ) felt like Somewhat of a lucid dream. Could that first one have been a lucid dream and why the spaces between the three dreams? And howcome I remember some dream for a long while...I know that at least the second dream I had last night I will remember it. Most of it I think because most of it was things I enjoy.

      Hey Beast,

Could that first one have been a lucid dream
well, I don't think you reached the full realization of being aware you were in a dream - so unfortunately it was not a lucid. However, you were JUST at the threshold of being lucid! I've been in dreams before where I was aware of the possibility of being in a dream, but I was too scared to perform the reality check in fear that if I wasn't dreaming I'd embarrass myself. So, I was close, but never took the full leap.

I remember some dream for a long while.
It comes down to how much of an emotinal impact it had on you - just like any other memory. I may not be able to recall what I had for lunch last week, but I can remember some childhood memory like it was yesterday. All depends on the memory.

Yeah it depends on how much an impact a dream had on you. The greater the impact the more likely you are to remember it.
