      WILDS and other sorts

Heyy people, I'm Lindsey, obviosly, and I'm new.
I've read some of the forums, and I have absolutely no idea what WILDS and other dream terms are. I've probably experienced them since I"m a big dreamer, but I still want to know what exactly they are. PLEASE reply back soon, and if you have time, email me at [email protected]. Thanks so much!!

      Welcome to DreamViews.

WILD is a Wake-Induced Lucid Dream. It's when you enter a lucid dream directly from the waking state. WILDs are usually associated with brief awakenings or more intentional, longer awakenings during the night. If you awaken during a REM (dream) period then you have a better chance of falling back asleep and entering directly into an LD (lucid dream). That's what a WILD is.

For a list of the acronyms we commonly use around here, read THIS glossary.
