I had my first lucid experience the other nite and not knowing much about the topic i searched up about it on the internet, which lead me to this website. In the dream I was in my living room with one of my mates but i knew something wasn't quite right. I could see that the walls were coloured differently and that the couch was in the wrong place and there were objects there that i've never seen in the house b4, like the large blue teddy bear in the corner of the room. Then it occured to me that I was dreaming, and I kept telling this to myself. After realising that it wasnt real i had a sudden rush of excitement. Seconds later i woke up but remembered the whole experience very well.

I didn't realise that it was a process that you could teach yourself to do. I had the lucid experience without any form of practice or methods. Is this usual? Anyway now i've had the experience i would very much like to have it again!

Also I experience dream recalls mainly when i fall asleep again after waking up in the morning. I can remember 2 or 3 dreams in the morning when i have a lie in, sometimes waking up and falling asleep again a few times. Timing myself with my clock i notice they last between 15 minutes to an hour and I remember the dreams very well. Is this form of dream recall in the morning any use to lucid dreaming?
