What a great resource for LDs. I've enjoyed reading here the last few days and have learned some new tricks already (and I'm an old dog!). My interests include LDs (of course), dream interpretation and the relationship between conscious and subconcious as they meet in dreams. Just thought I'd post a "Hello". nightplayr

Thanks for the welcome Rooj and Joe. Wish I could say I brought a sure fire LD solution with me but I didn't. My own LDs were triggered by early childhood recurring dreams. They became familiar enough to realize I was dreaming and it developed from there. Starting from scratch would be tough but the advice here is the best. I do have to tell you I tried the nose pinch RC the other night and I couldn't breath when I did it! I just had to laugh figuring I somehow set myself up for that one, but I was already lucid so maybe that wasn't fair. nightplayr

Sounds like your mind was doing it's thing; incorporating expectations and experiences from real life into your dream. You can't breathe through a pinched nose in real life, so...

Hello mate welcome to the forum. Like you I have been LD'ing since a child. When I first tried the RC's for fun they didnt work either, the finger through the hand etc. Now they work fine for me. My take on it was that maybe I hadn't stretched my imagination enough in my LDs to know this stuff is all possible. Anyway, welcome and look forward to chatting in the future

Hello backatcha nightplayr and welcome to Dream Views. You're right when you state that starting from scratch would be tough.. but it is possible (I'm living proof of that)! .
