      Need help on lucid dream

I read a lot of the tips on how to have a dream, and last night, I finally realized I was dreaming. Unfortunatly, in my dream, I was still in my bed. I tried to get up but I could not move. I tried to fly, but it didnt work. I began to get scared so I woke myself up. Any tips on what I should do if that happens again?

      Welcome, StangDriver!

On to your question: Don't get scared. Remember: it's a dream. You're in control. It's all in your mind. All that stuff. Just keep trying. Use some of the techniques listed here.

      Welcome to the forum StangDriver!

I don't see why people get scared when they cant move, it's all a dream. There's nothing to be afraid of.

      Welcome StangDriver

You had sleep paralisis which is completley normal. And when you are aware that it is normal in addition to expieriancing it a couple of times your fear will subside.

      Welcome Stang!!!!!

I don't think it will happen again, unless you expect it to. That is the way the dream world works sometimes...

If it indeed does occur then I just suggest you calm down and try to imagine yourself in another place, to envision something different. Try to apply logic as much as necesary and reason about why you should be able to move. You shouldn't fear the dream world, as you will later learn there is literally nothing that can harm you...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Looks like a really great community. I'm like way new at this, but I'm really curious to see what all the buzz is about on this lucid dreaming. I really want to experience it for myself. Hopefully something will happen for me soon. I will let you all know how it goes
