Hi, im new to this forum and just want to ask about dreams i would get repetatively. I've always been able to have really good dream recall ever since i was little and have had probably 15-20 lucid dreams without even knowing what they were. Now that im going to really begin to explore my dreams a lot more, i really need to ask about these repetetive deja-vu type dreams i have always gotten.

The best way to explain these dreams is to think of them in terms of being a video game. I would have a dream where there would be a goal in mind, for instance i would always have a dream where i entered a warehouse and there would be all kinds of secret doors and dead ends and boobee traps, almost like labrynth-puzzle type thing. Everytime i would have this dream i would get trapped, get lost, or just give up. But everytime i would get a little further than the last time. Sometimes i would have to restart the entire thing, but other times i could just start where i left off, very similar to a video game. I would have these dreams seperated very randomly, sometimes a month or 2 apart from eachother and other times days apart.

Finally, about a little less than a year a go i got all the way through the entire warehouse dream and got to the final door which was always a bright red door in the dreams. I walked through this door and switched into 3rd person and saw myself lying on a bed inside the warehouse. It seemed to me that in the dream i made the warehouse my home. After this dream i never had the warehouse dream again, as if i had beaten the dream.

This is not the only repeating dream i've had, there have been several others, like one where im going through a forest and another one where im in castle type thing. But these ones aren't really puzzles they are just like a story line i keep continuing everytime i have the dream again.

Thanks for reading this and any comments to similar dreams like these or just opinions would be apreciated. Ill post again on my experiences lucid dreams.

Hey, welcome to the forums!

Nice to meecha!

I don't think I can shed any light on your dream situation, I've re-entered dreams before but only once or twice in the same dream scene and never over multiple days.
Sounds like fun though!

Hey Wasted, and

Did you happen to be lucid at this point? It sounds very similar to what happens to many of us when we finally recognize a dreamsign - for some reason, once we recognize the sign (or event), we rearely ever see it again (or remember it) in a dream again. It's possible this is something similar. You recognized the warehouse as an element you experience only in the dreamworld - so yes, in a way your mind sees this as "beating the game".

Dreams seem to be like tricks our minds play on us. The mind wants to keep us fooled, while we want to experience them through lucidity.

I was never lucid in any of these reoccuring dreams, but would always have that deja-vu feeling as if ive done this before and then when i woke up i would realize it was a dream and realize it was the same reocurring one ive been having. I think a part of me never wanted this dream to become lucid because it would ruin the fun and challenge of it, maybe thats why it was never lucid, im not sure.

And thanks for the response.
