      Hey folks,
I've been lucid dreaming for quite some time now and have often wondered why do the lights never work when I try to turn them on during my dream?? Does this happen to anyone else? Also I can fly in my dreams but only to a certain height about 2 foot and the flying experience doesn't last long. I then have to run and jump and find I'm flyng again but only for a minute or two. Is this common and how can I fly longer and higher???
This my friend Mari. I come here for massage and, how you say? Hand relief. Every Thursday, he clean my hole.

      Hiya there!

As to the lights - faulty electrical things in dreams is VERY common. Myself, I think that it;s to do with the fact that information about man-manufactured objects is stored in a different part of the brain to that which recognises natural objects, faces, and places. But that's just my theory. Not sure what you can do to make electrics work though. I think you just have to put up with it, or just very strongly EXPECT them to work and don'tr get frustrated when they don't.

As to flying - Sorry, I can't help there, but you should check out the lovely Amethyst Star's lovely Dream Flying Tutorial. the few times I've decided to try and fly in lucids, I've done so fairly easily. But for me, it's easier the less vivid a ld is. It's easiest when I have "groggy" LDs. But, if you work your way up to it, and more importantly, EXPECT to be able to fly, you'll get there.

      Hope that helps, ciao!

I can never usually fly very well in my lucids either.

Once I spent an entire dream flying around Scandinavia (why Scandinavia I don't know) and the whole time I couldn't get above 2-3 feet off the ground!

      Damn frustrating.

I have no explanations I'm afraid but at least you know you're not alone.

That lights doesnt work, is a common theme. One of the most important things is to remember that u can do anything u want, since dreamcontrol work through assumptions and activations of certain "things" in the brain called schemas (thats a longer story, but it is a theory that explains how dreams are dominated by associations).

This is also true for flying. Though some people find it harder than other, the most important thing to do is to believe that u can

The only measurable difference between the dream world and the regular one is whether the laws of "nature" are consistent in identical experiments.
