Hey all,
I'm new to the site, so I just wanted to explain my particular situation. I began reading a book by Stephen LaBerge on lucid dreaming about a month ago, and immediately I began having excellent dream recall. On average, I will remember 1-2 dreams per night, which is great. However, I can't seem to jump the barrier into lucid dreaming. I have had lucid dreams from time to time, but never actually induced by myself.
Here is the problem. During my dreams, I understand that a particular situation is absurd and impossible in reality, and most times even realize that I must be having a dream. However, I always get caught up in the momentum of the dream. What I mean is that the dream is rolling along so smoothly that I get too caught up in the action of it, and quickly forget my plans to become lucid.
At first, I thought this was just bad luck, but I continue to get caught up in the action and always forget the logic. In the last month, I have had one lucid dream, and I definitely did not induce it... it just kinda happened.
Any help?
