Hello, all. I was invited to post an introduction here, so here it goes.

Though newly signed up, I've been poking around here for a while. Being part of an on-line community is an investment. I don't have a lot of spare time in my life to invest right now, so descretion is important in choosing how to use what time is available. This place seems comfortable and friendly, and serves an important purpose for me in providing a safe place to discuss LDing and other related tangents - subjects that are touchy at best in the general population.

I dreamed lucidly through much of my childhood, but didn't recognize what it was. In my early teens, I got involved with drugs - heavily - and the LDs faded away and were forgotten. I sobered up a long time ago, but the LDs never returned.

I've stumbled across information about LDing several times over the years in the course of doing other research. It was always dismissed as something I wasn't interested it because the context always seemed to include OBE, AP, occultic and New Age stuff.

Early last month (Feb '06) I experienced an LD and recognized it. The experience was so thrilling and exhilerating that I started digging in, searching on the 'net, and reading books. I've had many LDs since, though staying there and gaining control have proven difficult so far.

I find the more I think about and study LDing in a given day, the more likely an LD will occur at night. Being part of an online community is incredibly valuable for this reason and others I've already mentioned.

In return for the privilege of being part of this community, I have posted my dream journal going back to my first lucid dream, and will continue to do so along with noting what is and isn't working for me in this quest, in the hopes that others may benefit from my experiences. Likewise, I am most grateful to those who are making their journals and experiences available for me to learn from and enjoy.

I don't know what all else about me is really relevant to being here. I'm a musician and composer, closet artist, photographer, small business owner and family man of the end of the Baby Boom generation. My interests are eclectic and constantly changing.

In closing, I'll offer up one of my compositions that has helped others achieve relaxed states. It may be useful... it may not. Enjoy if you like this sort of thing. It is called Sytrus Ocean:
