Hi!
I found this site while looking up more information on how to control my dreams without having to spend 300 bucks on a dream machine. I'm a student, so I really don't have that sort of money yet.
Recently I had an extremely lucid dream, I've experienced this before but not at this level. I could see everything around me very clearly, I thought I was awake. I couldn't move though, and I couldn't lift my head high enough to peer at my clock. I felt my cat jumping on my bed like she always does when someone leaves my door open, and my stepfather was next to me for some reason. I could hear him talk as if he were speaking right in my ear, I could even smell Old Spice on him. I wanted to ask him something but I couldn't talk. Music was playing in the background.
I shook myself awake and of course everything was gone, I found myself looking for the cat.
Once I thought I saw a shadow skitter across the floor and under my bed, I woke up and tried to attack whatever it was
What is most odd about this dream is that I wasn't even asleep for that long, only about 20 minutes. Two nights ago I managed to convince myself that I was dreaming, and performed a weird transformation where I grew a monkey face and a blue tail. I suppose my dream trigger is looking in a mirror, because I could see myself clearly, and whenever I moved my mouth it grew too large to be possible so that's when I realized something was up.
Anyway those sort of very realistic dreams have brought me to this forum, I'm hoping that I'll be able to control my dreams better by learning from others here.
