what is the best way to focus before going to sleep to try to get a lucid dream? every time i tell my self over and over, it dosen't work, and every time i barely do anything before i go to bed nothing happens either. Is there a good way to prepare mentally before going to bed? |

God, grant me the courage the change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't, and the wisdom to know the difference...
I find a good way to focus on having a lucid dream before bed is to lie down before going to sleep and to plan out just what I'm going to do in the lucid dream that I will have, it tends to be that if you believe you have one, you will. |

You could try a Lucid dream induction MP3/CD. You can get them free on the web. |

It's great that you're doing RCs during the day. I'd like to ask, though, how much thought you put into these checks? Do you find yourself doing them quickly and once they fail you simply move on? If not, great! However, if it's otherwise, I'd suggest really taking time to question what's around you. Do the things around you really seem logical? Even just state purposefully, "I am not dreaming," or if you're in a dream you can tell yourself, "I am dreaming." |
