That would be us guys with the green backgrounds.
You should have gotten a welcome PM from a DreamGuide when you joined the forum.[/b]
Ah, yes. Didn't see that since most phpBB forums have the notification either in a javascript window or directly near the PMs link. Thanks.

This sounds like the beginning of a WILD -- see the Tutorial here.
Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck with WILDs myself. Personally, I would recommend that you start with other methods, such as MILD and WBTB (again, you can find more information about these in the Tutorials section). But perhaps someone with more WILD experience will post here and help you out.
Thanks, those tutorials were very helpful. It seems, by instinct perhaps, I just went for WILD without knowing enough. MILD seems definitely like a good way to start.

In any case, welcome to the forum, and keep at it! Remember, the only sure way to fail at lucid dreaming is to stop trying. [/b]
Of course!

I tried both of those, but it didn't seem to help.

a number of times i have been drifting off to sleep, and vaguely feel \"i'm not breathing', right before i take a deep breath and break my concentration. i've learnt to ignore any such fears, and let my breathing regulate itself...
Yeah, that's exactly what's happening.

although, as others have mentioned, the method you appear to be using is typically quite difficult for beginners (and many experts). i'd recommend researching DILD's, WBTB's, HILD's, etc.
Yes, the tutorials on all of those were very helpful excluding DILD. It's what I've read most about, and been trying to follow and develop habits for while doing my own experiments (the ones that turned out to be WILDs), and I don't think that's the way to go.
Thanks to both of you, great advice.
