Hi everyone,
My name is Krissie, or Kris, whichever you prefer, and I'm seventeen years old and someone who wants to learn to LD really badly, but hasn't been able to successfully pull it off yet. Ever since I was around 12, I've been extremely interested in things like this, and last year I started researching Lucid Dreaming and have tried it a few times, but it seems like every time I hit the pillow and sleep I'm just out for the night and wake up with a vague rememberance of my dreams, but that's it.
I've been reading on here very frequently in the past month or so, but never registered until today, and I read somewhere about telling yourself before you fall asleep that you're going to remember your dreams and you're going to wake up after each dream. I tried that once, and I repeated it over and over in my head until I fell asleep, and I woke up three times in the middle of the night with a rememberance of each dream, but I'm so extremely tired when I wake up that I don't even think to turn the light on and write the dream down.
There have been a few dreams that I've had that I've realized that I was dreaming, whether it be because I knew that it was way too odd to be happening, or that it just hit me, but as soon as I realize it I begin to wake up.
A few times I have even woken up to the memory that I was literally watching myself wake up. I could see my head on my pillow and I could feel myself pulling and jerking at my pillow like I was going through some type of time warp or something [that's what it looked and felt like...] and then I would wake up.
Sometimes I'll be laying in bed and all of a sudden it's like even though I am awake, it seems as if I am dreaming. My body will be fully concious of where I am and feeling my surroundings, but my head feels like it is off in a cloud, and when I kind of snap back into reality, I have very vague memories of what I was just thinking about, like I was literally dreaming while awake.
Ok, well, I hope to read some more and post some more on here and hopefully learn to LD successfully!
