Hello! |

We have a section called Beyond d\Dreaming where you may find what you want. |

With Dreaming you need to start small and work hard grow your lucid dreaming lifestyle...
I'm not just a lucid dream, I'm a Somnonauts!!
“It’s... your conscience. We don’t talk a lot these days.”
Thanks, Lang, I appreciate it! I was thinking it might be best to just focus on LDs at first and see how that goes. I recall reading that one can spring from LDs into AP/OBEs |

Hey Snakeboy. I'm new here too. I've lucid dreamed off and on for ages (not very exceptionally, I admit) and even after all these years I still LOVE that moment of realizing that I'm in a dream. One of the best feelings ever. Regarding AP, I've never been successful with it. I'd love to hear about you figuring out how to do it. Maybe give the rest of us some tips. |

Hi Sweven! I didn't get far enough with APs/OBEs to be an authority at all, unfortunately. According to the co-author (Brian Mercer) of the book I mentioned in my intro, I once had a partial OBE. It was immediately following my first LD, I had the rush of finally realizing I was in a dream.... "what should I do? what should I do?" I quickly manifested something, and the excitement of that did something unexpected. I was looking myself in the face from about an inch away, but it was with a sharpness and vividness I had never seen before (like a 40K resolution TV). My face looked very excited or bewildered, eyes open, and I could hear my voice but it was muffled. I then work up. I described it to Brian, and he called it a likely partial OBE, so I guess I had gone from the LD to projecting out of my body but turned around. That's the farthest I've gotten so far, but it was pretty exciting! For now I am restarting my practice to get better at the LDs, and then go from there. |

You've gotten much farther than I ever did with AP. That sounds like an amazing experience. If I can get decent with lucid dreaming again I'd like to AP. My mom said she could do it when she was a kid so I'm hoping the skill is passed down genetically. |

My uncle once sad, quite casually, that he used to project a lot when he was younger. He said he'd often fly over the Rockies and up into Canada. Was he really projecting? I don't think he ever read or studied it, and perhaps they were simply a form of dreaming. But, I always wondered why anyone would stop doing it. It sounds like your mom lost the ability somehow? I do recall reading that kids can do it more naturally, and society sort of programs them to reject it and lose the ability. |
