New on this site and topic

Hello everyone! I found this site while researching psychoanalysis for a paper I am writing . I am an art student and I am taking a class entitled "The Dream Screen" which puts a lot of emphasys on the work of Freud and Jung and how their idea of dreams are projected onto the screen.I thought that if I join this site,I would better understand the discussions in class.

P.S. I am originally from Romania, where interpretation of dreams are most of the time taken seriuosly and applied to real life events and situations ..

      Hi VIS,

It's interesting that Freud never mentioned (as far as I know) lucid dreaming. Probably because never happened to him or he did not put much attention on it.

You can think lucid dreaming as actively paint the screen that you mention, instead of passively projecting what our subconscous radiates.

Hello. I'm pretty new to lucid dreaming and this site. I haven't really had any lucid dreams besides the occasional accidental one. I've been trying techniques that I've read about for a couple weeks such as a Reality Test but they havent really been working very well. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any tips. Thanks.

I think i finally had a lucid dream. But it was kind of weird though. I tried to do a WILD before i went to bed but i was too tired to stay concious. However in my dream i was also trying to do a WILD. So in other words i had a lucid dream in my dream. It was really cool though and i could control it mostly. Has this ever happened to anybody?
