Hi there! I've been browsing this forum here and there for awhile now, reading a lot of articles and such, but decided it was time to make a post. I've known of lucid dreaming for years, playing with it off and on, but recently I've been motivated to pursue it in earnest with clear goals and techniques. I've had quite a few successes in the past few months, and am hoping to continue improving. I'm in a bit of a downward slope with lucid dreaming right now, though-- it's been a week since I had one, though I've been trying to. That does happen now and again, but I'm hoping to get to the point where I can become lucid whenever I choose without really having to struggle through extended periods of failure to get there.
(One of the reasons I decided to post here is because I tend to have better success when I'm actively engaging in reading/talking/thinking about LD during the day)

Beyond that, my current goals are to heighten my clarity and awareness to the point where I feel fully "awake" within the dream, to maintain dream stability, and build control for things such as teleportation, conjuring objects or dream characters through visualization, maybe even eventually building a more-or-less stable dream environment that I can visit, etc.

I practice WBTB almost every morning, occasionally skipping if I feel too tired. I use counting and mantras during WBTB, usually trying to WILD, and also incorporate reality checks during the day, though the latter probably isn't as frequent as it should be. I also keep a careful record of my attempts and successes, and a daily dream journal.

Anyway, it's good to be here and I look forward to making some new acquaintances around here!
