To dream or not to dream
Hey Everyone,
Decided to sign up and say hello after listening to a couple of podcast episodes i found on you tube. As far as LD goes i can only ever remember having 1 in my lifetime. It was to long ago to remember what it was about but i still remember the joy it brought me when i woke up realizing that i had just had a dream where i was in control.
I have also once experienced SP and at the time i didn't even know that could happen. Needless to say terrified the crap out of me. all i could remember was trying to force myself to roll out of bed which jolted my muscles into action. After finding out what it was i have to admit, very trippy feeling :D
I'm very much interested in beginning a journey into Lucid dreaming but i very rarely ever remember a dream im talking like maybe 1 dream every 3 or so months. So i realize i have a lot of work ahead of me. Lately i tend to fall asleep quite frequently while my brains going nuts thinking about stuff(my brain is so active i actually don't even think i'm asleep, but i have been told otherwise). Is there a way i can use this to my advantage to induce a WILD type LD.
Obviously any and all help is appreciated and i look forward to sharing my progress with you all
Cheers
Myke

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you've already had a bit of experience with lucid dreaming.
The first step I would suggest to help your dream recall is to start keeping a journal of your dreams, and write at least something in it every morning when you wake up. Even if you don't remember anything, just write any emotions or just "No dreams". Eventually, just putting the effort into it will improve your recall. Or, if you don't mind supplements, I personally had success with Vitamin B6. Taking 100-200mg before you go to sleep can help your recall. A more detailed tutorial can be found here.
As for the WILD, it sounds like it would be perfect for you. I'm not exactly an expert of WILDs, but I belive there is a technique for keeping your mind awake while your body falls asleep, although I can't seem to find the tutorial... There is a generic tutorial for WILD here.
Anyway, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Enjoy your stay!
