Hey guys, I'm new here. Just had my first voluntary LD. Thought I might start sharing my story.

So I've had my first lucid dream this morning. Not literally the first, but the first one on purpose and the first to be so vivid. I had been thinking about having LDs for a while now, but it always scared me a little. I expected it to be very intense and the transition from a wake state to the dream state to be somewhat chaotic and unpleasant. I couldn't have been more wrong... I know this is the introduction section so I'll share the entire story in the appropriate section.

Anyway. Hello everyone. I'll probably start posting on a regular basis on the forum :)

welcome to the forums :cookiemonster: hope you enjoy your time here i understand what you mean about the transition i actually gave up WILDS for abit because the voices and sensations were simply terrifying to me but their not to bad now i just got back into lucid dreaming after a few hectic months of moving houses and schools so im back to sqaure one but i look forward to a fresh start anyway WELCOME :D

I don't know if I'm part of the lucky few or if it's that way for everyone, but the voices and crazy sensations get more intense somehow for 2-3 seconds, but instead of becoming unbearable as I expected, they just faded away very quickly and then everything became smooth and very comfortable.

i have heard that it is much more soothing after a time but i have unfortunately never reached that level
