Good day, good evening and goodnight

      Hello everyone,

I am an old hat at forums and online message boards etc but new to the concept of Lucid Dreams....and what an interesting concept it is!

I am looking forward already to flying out in to space to watch a star implode or a galaxy be born, but I guess that is likely to be further down the road.

Anyway, I have read this sites guides to lucid dreaming from begining to end, as well as a few other and started my Dream Diary last night before I went to bed. Following a day of constantly reading, thinking and getting excited about the idea of Lucid Dreaming I woke in the middle of the night and remembered my first dream. As I am someone that doesn't very oftern remember my dreams I can only assume this is a good start!

At this stage I am putting together a dream diary and learning to recall my dreams rather than shooting for Lucid dreaming straight off. If anyone has any tips on techniques that are out of the ordinary or that I am not likely to have read already from a good several hours of internet research then I am all ears.

Nice to be here, thanks for listening!

Glad to have you with us

Sounds to me like you are off to a great start. If you have any specific questions, please be sure to either post or PM someone. We are here to help.

I never thought of going out to watch a star implode before, have you ever read the Sci-fi book Nova? It might be cool to plunge through the heart of a star just as it goes off!

No I can't say I have read that novel, although I think I have heard of it. I may well look it up when I finish the "His Dark Matter" trilogy.

So I assume you have had Lucid Dreams?

I have read so much about how they can, should or might be done but am yet to have a direct response from someone that has experienced it.

Is it like real life? as clear I mean, I know that when I do remember dreams I have had (which isn't that oftern usually) they tend to be very cloudy and smudgey, any images I can recall are well, like water colour pitures, all the shapes and images blend and meld.

When you are lucid dreaming, is there any improvement in clarity?

I would like to think that galaxy being formed can be viewed in more than 1000 pixels and better than 16 bit colour

Sorry to bombard you with all these questions, your the first real person I have spoken to who has / is likely to have experienced this type of dreaming.

      Thanks.

I've been lucid dreaming for 14 years now and yes, they can be extremely vivid.

I've had some that were even more real than waking life. All senses are engaged in a lucid dream and are often more sensitive than when awake.

Just think about it. When awake, your perception is limited by what your senses can send your brain. Your eyesight is limited by your eyeballs, hearing by your ears, touch by the sensitivity of your skin.

It is the most amazing thing to experience a lucid dream, it is phenominal to experience a vivid lucid dream, exactly like being awake, in fact, your memories of the dream seem to be stored in the same manner as your waking memories.

Sometimes I have difficulty telling the difference when I think back on them.

Wow. That pretty much sums up my response to that.

I can't wait to get my Lucid dreams to that type of clarity.

      The adventures to be had...!

      Thank again.
