      Red face Hello from sivason's bride

      Okay, sivason has been trying to convince me for about 6 months to join in.
      I have (as best I can recall) 2 lucid dreams in my life.
      My first LD I was home trying to go to bed (in my pjs) when a group of people show up and drag me off to some party. We start to go in, and the person at the door informs me that I can't enter because I am not wearing my family's tartan plaid, some how I turn my pj pants to the plaid of my clan, and he still tries to tell me I am not dressed appropriately. I stand there arguing with him for a while, then a lady shows up and looks me over, she takes my hand and pulls me in the door informing the jerk that the rules only state we have to be wearing our family's colors not how we have to be wearing them so my pants count. We then go up a large flight of stairs and are handed a list of items to look for (treasure hunt) all over town.
      My second LD was about a tattoo on my back (it hasn't been put there yet) of a phoenix. Obviously I realized it had to be a dream, it felt very real. the phoenix came alive and flew off my back at a party, I could feel the heat of it's flaming wings on my back as it came to life.

      Welcome! Sivason succeeded where a lot of us fail at in getting a significant other to join DV.

      If I remember correctly, sivason is a natural, which means that he might be telling you all sorts of incorrect things because naturals are evil . jk! There is no wrong way to LD. In my opinion most naturals use a form of intent and/or dream incubation. I had 10 LDs before knowing what they were, and they were because of WBTB! The king of techniques! Haha. I would recommend WBTB as much as possible. Naturally if you can.

      I would recommend trying hard to remember what caused those two LDs. That is a way you can find out exactly what makes you lucid. There is no such thing as a "random LD".

      Now I am just going through too much stuff. good luck LDing. Check out my summer challenge in my sig! It is great for beginners.

      Now that I think about it, there's some technique mentioned in Daniel Love's book which involves letting your bed partner falling asleep after a WBTB, then gently whisper him "you are dreaming" when you recognize that he is in REM.

      Now to get a bed partner...

      sivason is not actually a natural, he's just been at it a very long time. He LOVES to sleep. As for me, I am a beginner and will probably flounder around in the shallow end for a long time before I really get anywhere.

      You won't always be alone. I am sure it feels that way, but you won't be.
      The only problem I have with the WBTB is that I tend to be a light sleeper, and sivason wakes me up every time he moves. LOL. I don't think I want to stay awake and watch for him to start dreaming to test out the theory.

      Thank you for such a warm welcome, and Happy Memorial Day (tomorrow).

      I am looking forward to having many more. They might actually incite more inspired poetry, and stories (I write).

      I got lucid again last night, and yes again, the party theme appeared. Major twist, Mystery party: if you don't at least attempt to solve the mystery after seeing the clues bad things happen to you.
