Hello everyone!

So this is my introductary thread, huh? Well, let's get started on some basic facts first, then!
I am an 18 year old male from Sweden. I currently study technology, with the specialization of Data/IT, a line which I plan to keep following later on!
.. That wasn't very much was it .. Oh well, on to the next part.

I had my first LD quite a long time ago, and as far as I can remember, I've only had a few. The latest one was a DEILD (this terminology will be tricky to learn), and happened as early as a few days ago. I've had dreams that I've 're-entered' before, but this was the only one I was actually in control of.

It's worth mentioning though, I wasn't aware that it was called Lucid Dreaming until maybe a week ago. I had heard the expression before, but from what I had heard, it was some sort of 'out-of-body experience', and it sounded very hard to accomplish. Not to mention scary, as the sleep paralyzis stories are mostly horrible!

But then, on some random forum, only two days ago even, I saw a thread regarding lucid dreaming, which as well pointed to this site!
Either way, I tried to accomplish my first LD yesterday, using a simple guide I had found, which went something like this:
- Lay down in a comfortable position
- Count to ten, and after each count, repeat the phrase 'I am dreaming'.
- Soon you'll see the black behind your eyelids change. Change it into whatever you want.

So not the most comprehensive guide .. But I gave it a try. After I did it up to maybe, 6, a really odd 'pricking' sensation started at my feet, and with each count it went higher and higher. The black was also moving around, starting to turn white. This startled me enough to jolt back into a fully awaken state.
Were I doing this correct? Is this something that's normal? Hehe.

Either way! This is a very long introduction, and I apologize in advance for any spelling or formatting errors, as I'm writing this on my phone!

I hope I don't come of as annoying, since I plan to stay!
