(I reckon you meant 'don't hesitate to ask. I make the same mistake all the time. A littles dyslestic I am so I miss negatives in sentences all the time. A real bugger when your taking a test. Flips the whole answer over!)
Im new too! Im attempting some wilds through out the night! Wish me luck! How long you been lucid dreaming?
Hi, NightFlier! Oh, I've been around the community some years now. My LD chops are a little stiff these days - a little out of practice - but looking forward to some new blood and hope to revitalize the dream life by participating here. Think I'm going to enjoy it!
WILD... Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming if I remember correctly. Not real familiar with it because I've only managed it through meditation a few times. Rather more difficult I think than the morning REM type dream which may become lucid. Yeah, been around a while but still lots to learn. I have been LUCKY though. :)
Oh, and Good Luck to yourself. Keep it on your mind night and day and you'll be successful.
Oh man I just saw that, I was pretty tired when I wrote that, and yeah, don't hesitate to ask :P
Thank ya! I wbtb using alarms and stay completely still when it goes off. I try and stay conscious and i start to feel sp effects. Idk if that is technically a wild. But it works for me!
You must be a natural to have meditated and wilded. I just cant do it. I am too fidgety. But none the less i am impressed. I hope we find what we are looking for!
Yes, I suppose there is a good deal of nature involved. I recognize two basic modes of meditation: active/intense concentration and the more common, passive. I don't think I could teach the intense method as it evolved on the basis of some unique attributes that I have not discovered in others. It is concentration on the 'lights' which are a feedback to the mind's depth of concentration. For myself, I begin with dull yellow but as I continue the lights will turn orange, green and then ultimately deep blue verging ultra-violet. I concentrate to maintain the light show. It is entertaining but also work. BTW, red is rare.Quote:

I am not familiar the various ‘techniques’ offered by sundry pundits of the dream/OBE experience (Newport, Bruce come to mind) because I haven’t felt like I needed a ‘how-to’. At the same time I see how various contemporary authors have spurred interest in the dreamscape and that is a good thing. It’s becoming FASHIONABLE!
I began with Cayce and the works of Theosophical writers Ledbeater, Bassant, Blavatsky and others. Many of the best teachers began their expositive works in the mid to late 19th and early 20th century. There is very little new about this endeavor in its new New Age incarnation. I’m just excited that the youth today are embracing it in its more Tech inspired evolution.
About the misguided notions of the ‘civilians’ regarding the meditation of the Indian/Tibetan yogis, gurus and mystics I’ll approach at a later date. In short, it’s about ‘not-doing’.
