Hey, I've made a few posts already but haven't made an intro thread.
My name's Stewart, I've been naturally lucid dreaming for about 9 years (I'm 14), but only once a week usually. Right now, I've gone without one for almost two weeks.
I didn't use a technique really, it was sort of a DILD but I'd just be like, "hey, I'm dreaming", completely random.
I'm thinking of switching to a Bi-Phasic sleeping schedule, say 4.5 hours from 1:00 AM to 5:30 AM, and then 1 hour, 20 minutes from 7:30 PM to 8:50 PM.
My reason for this is not only for more time, and for more "refreshment" from sleep, but that I think it'll benefit my lucid dreaming.
The nap around 7:30 is meant to go straight into REM sleep, which means I have a much better chance of getting a MILD at that time, right? Also, if I wake up at the end of it, and I'm in sleep paralysis- perfect chance for a DEILD or FILD.
I would go to the extreme and do an Uberman schedule, but it wouldn't work as I have school.
I do reality checks when I wake up.
Which method do you suggest I stick with? I like the sound of MILDing, VILDing looks good too, but I've heard that WILDing, when mastered, yields the best, most consistent results. Which should I master then?
My dream recall is usually good- two nights ago I tried a mantra. First I was saying "I will have a lucid dream tonight", then I decided I wanted quite a few. I changed it to "I will have many dreams tonight", forgetting the "lucid" part.
I had 6 dreams- none of them lucid- and remembered them all quite well.
Back to methods, I'd also like to know about the SSILD.
Which is the most reliable out of MILD, VILD, WILD and SSILD?
And which is better between FILD and DEILD?
Is it better if I train myself to wake up after dreams and then just DEILD a string of lucids?
Thanks for the help, guys (and girls)!
