      What a wonderful new website!

Hello everyone, I was doing more research on lucid dreaming (as I do most nights), and I stumbled upon this great site. Throughout my life I had been experiencing and remembering lucid dreams as well as dreams that really stood out in terms of vividness. These types of dreams occurred at seemingly random occasions. I'd say that over 90% of my dreams during my whole life have always been very foggy, random, and quickly changing, as well as being experienced from the third person.

I have always noticed a difference between standard dreaming and lucid dreaming, throughout my whole life. It was only a few weeks ago that I found out what "lucid dreaming" was and realized that I had been having them for a long time. Each new LD is always more intense and realistic than the last. I seem to have an ability to remember just about all of my dreams with ease. Now, I am embarking on a journey to gain full control of my lucid dreams.

Up until I was about 14, most of my dreams were incredibly and deeply frightening, although I have always had a very comfortable life and wonderful family connection. Starting as a day-dream induced by the flu as a young child, a later recurring character frightened me up until a few years ago. It started off as a sortof chorus of disembodied voices which taunted me and surrounded me, it gave me panic attacks. Later, this chorus evolved into a single man with a serene yet loud, flowing, echoing voice which also taunted me, and niether were ever connected with any visuals of a human. These nightmares usually occured in the third or first person in black and white with foggy vision. During every single one, I knew it was a dream and always tried to escape it. Eventually, I stopped having nightmares completely and went into a phase of on/off rememberable dreams. This period lasted for two or three years, it consisted of about 40% remembered dreams, 10% recurring and vivid, and 50% entirely un-rememberable. I am now 17 and in late 2004 began taking 5-HTP, L-Phenylalanine, Vit. B-6, and multi-vitamins, every day. Now, after discovering what lucid dreaming is, I have been able to label and catalog those types of dreams, ever since that discovery, they have been increasing in frequency. The most frequent was two times in the same month, the second one being the most vivid dream I have ever experienced, and almost totally controllable by my own volition. I even experienced a false awakening during this dream and pin pointed it as a dream, then woke up. I have also experienced several events of "sleep paralysis" each one was very frightening, with the most recent event being so insanely terrifying that I experienced an adrenaline rush that brought me jumping out of bed and reaching for a baseball bat, auditory and minor visual hallucinations were noticed and were deeply disturbing. I hope that this forum community can help me in my goal to fill my nights with hedonistic lucid dreams and an overall feeling of ecstasy and happiness in my daily life.

hey, welcome to the board! Sounds to me like you're well on your way already!
I agree about the SP, it can be frightening, it used to frighten me so much i made myself get used to it, and i can now go into SP at will...
False Awakenings are the curse of Lucid dreams, in my opinion.

I was wondering about something. I used to be able to lay in a supine position on my bed as i went to sleep and change the pitch and yaw of my body and bed at will. I'd have my eyes closed and it was like I could actually feel the changes in angle through gravity. I remember being able to do this my whole life, except, it suddenly stopped about three years ago. Very puzzling, as this was quite fun, I couldn't get to sleep while doing this.

Well, I lay in the same way... That is cool that you could change the gravity!

Very interesting, I don't know what WILD is yet, but I will go and research it now.
