      hey fellow dreamers

Hey guys, first off I want to say I'm so happy I found this forum, it kicks ass. SO... To the introductory! I'm Matt, a 16 year old kid and I make some music on several synths I've found throughout garage sales and whatnot. I got into the Longboarding "scene" I guess you could call it, and I started to meet a ton of new awesome people. Shortly after, I was joining my group of friends and smoking weed. We would just chill on the beach (I live in Florida) and enjoy the sun. Occasionally me and a few buds would have some sweet jam sessions in my friend's garage. Later on I got into more drugs such as shrooms, acid, and salvia. Of course I wasn't always having amazing times, I've had my fair share of terrible trips and very bad decisions and just recently I got caught by my parents with weed. Anyways, for about a month and a half now I've been getting into the habit of keeping a dream journal, researching, and listening to binaural beats. Likeprobably almost everyone else here, I am totally fascinated by dreams. About three days ago I had my first lucid dream, but I only realized it was a lucid dream for a few moments. (I'll go into the dream and whatnot in another post). So yeah, that's basically me I guess, sorry if I switched tenses a lot in this post, I'm just really eager to start browsing through the rest of this forum. Peace out and see you around!

      <<<waves at you

      Welcome to DreamViews!

Congratulations on your first LD! I bet it was an amazing experience!

Look around, meet some people, chill out in the lounge and talk about whatever. Oh, and good call on keeping a Dream Journal. You can do an online one on this site if you ever want people to read any of them. Sometimes it's neat to have feedback.

Also, check out the Induction Techniques on this page, they will totally help you get into them more frequently given practice! You can find that linked right off the Home Page.

Anyway, you will find a lot of similarly-aged people and even those with similar backgrounds here.

      Nice to meet you!

Hey! Thanks for a quick welcoming! Awesome, I will definitely try to keep an online journal here, but I don't have a laptop and I've heard it's very very easy to lose important memories of a dream if you don't record it asap which is why I always keep my notebook right next to my bed! But like I said, I'll definitely try it out. (maybe I can just transfer my journal entities over to here after writing them!)

Thanks again, take it easy! I'm excited to broden my knowledge of dreams while here!

Glad to bring a smile to you!

I don't always have time to write down a dream in the morning, I have kids, and that can lead to all kinds of complications.

I keep a pad and a pen nearby and I write down keywords, or phrases, something to help me recall the events and order of a dream. Later on, when I have the time, I can go back to those brief notes and remember the dream at my leisure, filling in details as the keywords trigger my memories.

I also write them down in Word before posting them, which allows me to add stuff in when I forget something and skip details.

I'm sure you will find what works for you. You're on a good path already.
