Hey Marley, and welcome to DV. Hope you'll stick around, especially with all of this nonsense happening. So you're interested in EILD? What kind of device are you using? Never tried it myself, is it effective? |

Sooooooo..... Hey umm.. yeah.. Whats up I'm new to this website , I found it because lately I have become very interested in lucid dreaming. For multiple reasons. I have started to keep a dream journal , I keep it by my bed on a night stand so I can write in it as soon as I wake up. Yeah soo.. My name is Marley by the way if anyone was wondering. |

Well I'm just using an alarm clock that I'm in the process of programming to play a recording of my voice saying that I am asleep and dreaming and to do a reality check. So right now I'm working on figuring out about when I am in an REM state so that I will set it to go off at that point. The reason I thought of this is because I have had this accidentally happen when I was younger , my alarm clock would play soft music to wake me up and I realized that I was asleep. So I decided to try out something more direct ( my voice telling me I am asleep) ! |

I've had similar thoughts. I'm narrowing down on the idea of a vibration sensor (such as those contained in mobile phones). When no motion is detected then it is probable the sleeper is exhibiting sleep paralysis (they are in REM sleep). The application can then play your pre-recorded voice. I believe there may already be phone apps for this |

Hiya, MM! Welcome to the boards~ |

It sounds like you are off to a great start. Figuring out the timing of your sleep cycles will be hugely helpful. |
