Hey guys, I just joined. I found this site yesterday and found the thread about FILD (Finger Induced Lucid Dreaming). It sounded pretty easy so I tried it when I woke up in the middle of the night. |

Well, you did a RC and thought about not waking up, so maybe it was the start yes, you are the only one who can judge that properly though. |

Yeah, I'm starting to think that I was probably just dreaming about pinching my nose and breathing. But if that was the case wouldn't I become lucid, or does it not always work? DILD is when you observe the scenery and items in your dream and decide if it's real or not, right? In that case I am terrible at being aware if something's not right. I'll go check out MILD and try that tonight. Thanks for the fast reply, btw! |

Oh, RCs are there to give you some awareness, so if you don't RC and then stop to think about the result during waking, chances are that you won't do this either in a dream, so then lucidity won't always follow. |

So I read about MILD techniques and I decided I'm going to whisper to myself a mantra and after a while try to imagine a scene for my dream to take place. Not sure if this will work because this is my first time, but I can't wait to do it. |

Well, tell us how this goes and good luck with it! |

So, as I expected, I didn't have a lucid dream last night. For a little bit I was chanting "I will have a lucid dream tonight" and I was trying to imagine me being in school for my dream. |
