      Seeking Advice for LD techniques

      Hello everyone,

In 8 days of practicing LD tecniques, I've only been successful twice using WILD. I find it very difficult to make myself become aware while in my dreams to perform DILD. Its a little frustrating since I'm able to recall atleast 3 dreams a night, some in more details than others.

The events in my dream also move pretty linearlly in terms of time, so my dreams are pretty solid. But im just not ever able to tell myself "Hey you're dreaming."

I'm hoping to try DILD, not only to increase my chances for a LD, but also because WILD only works for me when I'm not extremely tired, since it requires me to have to get up for 10-15 minutes before going back to bed, then spending 20 minutes attempting to do it. Even then, it only works 1/4 times, at my current rate.

Any advice to help me DILD successfully?

      Thanks.

Also if it matters, according to My Zeo, I get roughly 3 hours of REM a night.

WILD method is tough, so don't worry about failing that.
To increase the frequency of DILD/MILD, reality check when something strange happens, mantra + WBTB, have you ever realised that you've had a DILD after failing a WILD? That's because you practically did autosuggestion for a long period of time just before a dream.
Try some of those, if you already have or want more detail please just ask!

WILD is pretty advanced. DILD as well as DEILD should take up the majority of your focus until you feel you are confident with you lucid abilities. You seem to be on the right track though, keep it up!

Yeah intent plays a large part of success with DILD, but also knowing the feeling of a dream to recognise it is also very useful.

There are lots of amazing lucid dreaming techniques on here. However, remember that 8 days really isn't a long time to have begun practicing. Sometimes it takes people a lot longer than that. I am, by no means, trying to discourage you! But also remember that sometimes the biggest hinderance in lucid dreaming is worrying to much about having one, or stressing yourself out. If you find yourself beating yourself up in any way because you're not having them, or worrying about it, I would suggest you stop for a week or two and then start again. A lot of times you will have a lucid dream when you stop trying so hard

Lol I use to have SP back in high school all the time after sports games or practice, so I'm pretty familiar with the process, just never realize you could get to a LD from SP. Back then I knew nothing of it and all I did was try to move my fingers or toes to wake my body up =D

Welcome to dream views, you are very lucky if you have already had 2 lucid dreams in such a short time, props brada. however if things start to slow down you may consider trying one technique or focusing on one thing at a time( such as recall).
      GOOD LUCK
