      Dream journal question

Should I start a dream journal of my own on the website or should I keep a notebook to myself for awhile before I start posting things?

Do whatever feels natural and helps you remember the best. Some people write their DJs at the end of the day because they think about what the dreams and try and recall any details they didn't remember before. Others write their DJs as soon as they wake up while it is fresh in their minds.

I usually write jot notes of dreams I had in a paper DJ whenever I wake up, so the dreams stay clear in my memory. I then type them up on my Dreamviews DJ here. Some people keep solely a paper journal, while others type them online as soon as they wake up, skipping the pen and paper entirely.

It's important to journal as soon as you can after waking, so you don't forget your dreams (even the lucid ones). Like Domition said, you can often recall small details later on in the day, but make sure you can remember your dreams until then, be it by writing them down or typing them up!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I'm going to do both. It will be easier to remember if I write it in a notebook right after I wake up and then type them up later.

That's cool it will also be a good technique if I'm on vacation or something and don't have access to a computer.

It's usually good to have a physical one so you can write it like as you wake up XD but i see you got dis all sorted out ^o^

I have a question which falls under this category as well:

I know dream recall is important as it helps you train your brain to remember more and more details, thus also helping you understand your dreams better, looking for reoccurences or other things that might have a deep meaning.

However, if one experiences a lucid dream, is it possible that we won't remember it? I mean, if one had a lucid dream, then that consequently means he became lucid while dreaming, so he was conscious he was dreaming while he was still in his dream. Why would one forget that after waking up? Doing things consciously in a lucid dream should be different than doing them unconsiously in a "normal" dream, so the danger of not remembering them should also not be the same, right? If you're conscious that you're doing something, shouldn't you be able to remember it even after waking up?

I'm asking this because I've read somewhere that we should use a DJ so we won't forget if we had a lucid dream, but it just doesn't make sense to me
Hope I'm not off topic here.

I'd say its better to have a physical one right next to your bedside. This will highly benefit you the most, but, there is also an advantage i guess by keeping it online, so others can read it and maybe give you feedback. But best for it by your bedside buddy!

      All or nothing.

Get your own thread you whore! I kid.
I personally think lucids are easier to remember, but you CAN forget them. I personally lost three two nights ago -.-
I've learnt my lesson, and will definetely be writing them down
