Hey there. Randomly stumbled onto this website after looking up some other strange things on the internet that randomly popped into my head (like how it feels like you know when eyes are on you) and I have to say that I am completely fascinated at all of this. Being able to actually do this intentionally is something that has never crossed my mind.
I can think of a few instances while dreaming where I actually said "What the? I must be dreaming." and either continued dreaming or woke up right after. I remember an instance at least 15 years ago where I actually heard an outside conversation while still in the dream, but continued on dreaming until I woke up shortly after. I still remember it to this day.
Anyways, I have a couple questions regarding Lucid Dreaming if anyone out there would care to answer, I would be very appreciative.
The first involves my sleeping habits. I am a Biphasic sleeper, meaning I sleep twice during the day. One is a 1-3 hour nap before work, and then a 4.5-5 hours of actual sleeping after work. From what I've seen from a few threads it seems that it's easier to do when sleeping a full 8 hours, which I haven't done during the week in many years. Though on the weekends I usually tend to get 8-10. My question is, is there anyone out there with a similar sleep style that can regularly attain a Lucid Dream? Is it possible? If not, can trying to train my body to do this on weekends still result in Lucid Dreams?
My other question is more on the tech related side of things. Are there any Android apps and such that can help achieve Lucid Dreams? Strange question I know, but I'm a tech junkie and if there's something useful I can add to my already awesome Droid, then I'm down.
Well, that's all for right now. I plan on keeping a Dream Journal next to my bed and will attempt to train my body to write down my dreams each time I wake up. I'm very excited to get this whole process started, and I am glad that there is such a helpful community for it.
tl;dr Can't wait to start having Lucid Dreams, and you guys are awesome!
