Hello, I'm new

Hello, my name is Max. I learned about lucid dreaming about 3 or 4 months ago and have been following this site since, so I figured I might as well join. I usually try to avoid forums but I noticed that this community is open minded and interested in the kind of knowledge/understanding that I seek. I have dedicated my life to learning the nature of reality, something that has lead me to an aspect of the mind that few know anything about: Lucid dreaming. My interests include quantum physics, holography, meditation, mysticism, dreams(duh), and basketball just to name a few. I look forward to sharing my experiences/insights on these subjects, as well as my take on their role in lucid dreaming.
Right now I feel a little bit like Neo, tumbling down the rabbit hole :shadewink: but thats ok, I seek the mind-blowing, so I figure I found a pretty good place to talk about it :D

If you're looking for mind blowing, you've come to the right place. You can do anything in a lucid dream. Literally anything. The only limitation is your imagination :) For starters, i would suggest starting a Dream Journal. It's essential for dream recall and finding recurring "dream signs" that could help you get lucid. You should also check out some of the many guides here on the different induction techniques, as well as the DV wiki which will give you a lot of info and so you won't get lost when reading a post ;)

This is the only forum I've ever really become dedicated to, probably because everyone is so friendly, along with the content (and subject!) of the forum itself. Like Burke said, if you haven't already, be sure to start a dream journal to begin working on your dream recall. If you can't remember dreams, after all, you might not remember your lucids, which has happened to me a few times. :P And you definitely want to read through the Dreamviews Wiki; it contains articles and tutorials on everything related to LDing.

thanks for the welcome everyone. I've been working on my dream journal for about 2 months and have gotten to where I can remember about a dream per night. I've had a handful of lucid dreams, although relatively short. They all have been attained through the WILD technique or after meditation, Ive never gained lucidity during a normal dream, no matter how obvious it should have been :(. should I record the dreams I've already had in the Dream Journal on this site?

Only if you want to. Some people feel that their dreams are a little too private to share with dreamviews, but as long as your keeping a DJ, it's fine :)
