Can dreams change the course of your life?

Hey everyone! Thought i would share a dream that has stuck with me for 23 years.

When i was around 8 years old i remember having the same exact dream 3 nights in a row, i remember the dream very clearly to this day and often try to make sense of it. Let me start by telling you my idea of it. My theory is that dreams provide some sort of ideas or choices maybe even keys to change the course of your life and what we decide to do or take in dreams will ultimately carve our path in life.

Let me begin.
When i was around 8 years old i had the same dream 3 nights in a row. The dreams always started with a loud voice saying "Begin" with myself standing on a cliff of some sort not a very big cliff i would say it was about 5x5 and in front of me was a large gap followed by another mountainous platform and the same pattern continued only the gaps in between would be bigger and bigger the further it went but i could see where the gaps and cliffs had ended it was about 5 platforms down the line and it was covered with grass and had a big treasure chest on it now at this point in my dream i knew it was a game of some sort so i began the course jumping across the 1st gap easily clearing it then the 2nd, i remember thinking to myself "Wow! This is gonna be easy!" but as i continued the jumps were harder to clear so right before the last jump i fell and the dream ended. Now this dream started and ended the exact same way the following 2 nights and i cant help to wonder to this day what if i would have made it to the end? Would i be a millionaire today maybe? LoL or would my life be different from what it is now?

What do you think?
Can dreams alter our life or have i been putting too much thought into it?

Too much thought, dreams are desires mixed with fear. They can only change the outlook of your life. If you would have made it to the end it still would have been JUST a dream. Dreams dont change your fate, just changes your path more to say. If you were to be lucid you could have made it to the treasure. Still would not make you rich today because of the 3 dreams you had. Waking life is completely different, your dream world is your wants, desires, fears, needs and so on. Its more like you just wanted treasure as a kid. Chasing the prize with a game dream, might have something to do with waking life occurences, like a game in which you played and the treasure or prize is at the end but you could not get it as a kid.

I think it was just a regular dream, but a dream interpreter would definitely see something in that dream. What changes your way in life is YOU and not your dreams. Some dreams might show you stuff your subsconscious has picked up or you've been thinking of, but yeah I think you've been putting too much thought into the dream :)

To heck with it, I believe your life would be different if you made it to the end because your outlook on life would've been different. Dreams change us, and we change our own lives, therefore dreams change our lives. Woohoo for transitive property application!

That belongs in a signature man.

I wouldn't think you would be a millionaire, but maybe if you succeeded your outlook on life would be different than your current outlook on life. Your life may be different if you decided to do something about it, and especially since this dream was recurring it may mean something.
