Interpretation?! I come seeking answers!
Hi everyone, a new arrival here.
I'm 18 1/2, male, live in the uk, and am deeply interested in my dreams.
I don't often lucid dream, one or two times and month, but I'm developing my knowledge, working out what triggers my lucidity... etc etc...
When I do achieve lucidity, I have full control over everything, once I've had the brief struggle to stop what's currently happening, and stopped myself from waking up.
Anyway, reason I've joined this forum, last night I had a landmark in my dreaming.
For the past two years or so I've sought to see myself in a mirror while lucid dreaming, I've desperatly wanted to know what my reflection would be, and walk through the mirror to see what's on the other side.
Normally I loose the battle between living my desires and doing something useful when lucid, then I forget about the mirror. But last night when I became lucid after noticing I was trapped in an under water tunnel, but finding I could breath the water, I did remember.
Unreal things like this is what makes me lucid.
So, I promptly found my way to the end of the straight tunnel (it was square, big enough to swim in, but resembled the size of a ventelation shaft in a large building), where I cacme out in a small room. There was another underwater tunnel leading away, but the brown tiled room reminded me of a bathroom, and thus I remembered I needed a mirror.
I created a mirror on the wall, a plain, unframed mirror 4 feet long by 2 feet wide, like the one we had in our bathroom some 5 years ago.
I make or manipulate objects by willing them to be there, they then materialize like a picture loading on the internet.
So, the mirror appeared, but when I stepped up to it, it was a pretty poor mirror, I think it was fogged by steam, but rubbing it didn't help.
I looked into it anyway, and saw several images of myself:
A quick note here, I have long hair that comes half way down my back.
The first figure was me looking into the mirror, it was my actual reflection, my hair was loosely tied back, and I was quite possibly wearing the boxor shorts and t-shirt I sleep in.
The second figure was myself with shorter hair, several inches long, but not 'long' after I started growing it 3 years ago. It was a 3rd person view, like someone had taken a picture of me when I wasn't looking at them.
The third figure was myself again, I do not remember exactly what I looked like, I think it was the regular me during the day. Importantly though, I held a baby in my arms, a week old at the most. Myself was looking back through the mirror, but not into my eyes, it was not a living image like the reflection.
The child was as helpless as a real one. He looked at peace, not crying or anything, but didn't meet my gaze or show some kind of intelligent message.
This is where I need some help. I've happily interpreted my own dreams for many years, but this infant has me stumped.
I would like to raise a family when I'm older have a son, I also know the concepts and have an interest in innocence and original sin, but niether of these I feel are strong enough to feature in such an important vision.
This may have simply been a Harry Potter moment (I used to be a big fan before the films ruined everything), you know the Mirror in the first book which showes him his desires?
I'm hoping this significant dream goes a little deeper than that though :(
