Yeah, when you're dreaming, the logic part of your brain is shut off. If you're using WBTB, do some simple math problems and explain to yourself why you are (or aren't) dreaming. You should also take awareness into account; that is what causes lucidity - absolutely anything can happen in a dream but if you're not aware, you won't notice these things. Even if nothing unusual happens and you're just walking around your house in the dream, awareness will also allow you to become lucid in that dream. So practice being conscious of what's around you, and what you're doing in real life. Accompany this with RCs. Really ask yourself if what you're doing, and where you are is plausible, and observe things using your sense of touch, sight, smell, etc. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Are you dreaming?
Damn I know exactly what you mean. I haven't been lucid but I had something similar where I was in a dream I didn't want to end so I looked at my hands and back to the dreamscape to stabilize the dream(I read this in Waggoner's book). I remembered this dream during the day and I was like holt sh*t! But I can't remember being lucid at any moment during the dream. |

It's actually a very good sign. A lot of people start to dream about dreaming, or have DCs tell them they're dreaming a little while before they start to have lucids. It shows that your mind is on the right subject anyway. It should happen soon. |
